Chris’ independent advisory firm chooses investments based on their impact on people, planet and profit, focusing on socially responsible "impact" investing. His presentation will address the concept behind “green” (environmentally responsible) investing as well as how “divesting,” (especially in companies with large carbon footprints), have both become criteria for many organizations and individuals. For example, last year the University of Dayton Board of Trustees unanimously approved a new investment policy, to divest coal and fossil fuel from its $670 million investment pool, which reflects the University's commitment to environmental sustainability, human rights and its religious mission.
